Context:

In early 2022, Innoltek, a Biodiesel company in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, was in the planning stages of replacing a tank and the associated piping. A specialized engineering team was given the mandate to make the project plans, however, they has their office 1300km away, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

With the VIRTUAL TOUR, the project team was able to:
– have a 360-degree view of the job site and see the site conditions,
– create floor plans from the Matterport space,
– coordinate many of the project activities…
– …all without ever having to step foot on a plane!

Additionally, the Matterport space allows for multiple users to view and interact with the same virtual space, so engineers and project members can collaborate and discuss their findings in real-time without being physically present. This further reduces the need for travel and allows for more efficient communication and problem-solving.

Having said all that – you don’t necessarily have to be working from a different country to enjoy the benefits of a virtual tour for your job site! Being able to see your jobsite whenever you want from any device will save you a significant amount of time and money.
